What is the Scottish Cup?
Scottish Cup is an annual association football knock-out cup tournament in Scotland. The competition was first held back in 1873–74. For all the 98 teams, Entry is open.
After the FA Cup, It has been the second oldest tournament in association football history; the Scottish Cup trophy is the oldest national trophy in the world. It was first presented to Queen’s Park, who managed to win it in March 1874.
A total of 34 teams have appeared in the final, and 25 of them have won the title. The most successful team in terms of clinching the no.1 spot and appearances in the final is Celtic, they have won 40 from a possible 59.
Rangers and Celtic have finished runners-up on more occasions than any other team, with 18 losses each in the final. The defending champions have been St Johnstone, who defeated Hibernian 1–0 in the 2021 final.
As Scotland is a member of the UEFA, the winner of the Scottish Cup qualifies to compete in Europe League.
Who are traditional favourites?

Celtic have won it 40 times, and Rangers have done it 33 times, both of them keen on increasing their trophy cabinet next season and in order to achieve their goals, both of them are planning to strengthen their teams by adding several quality players to their ranks before the start of 2021/22 season.
