Rangers handed boost in their quest to snap up Nimes midfielder
Rangers-tracked Nimes star Zinedine Ferhat was left out of the club’s matchday squad last weekend amid continued transfer speculation.
The Gers were one of the multiple clubs credited with an interest in the Algeria international in May by Foot Mercato.
It’s been reported that Steven Gerrard’s side have been monitoring his situation, with a bargain deal in the region of €5m (£4.2m) allegedly possible following Les Crocodiles’ relegation from the top-flight (Le10Sport).
Ferhat impressed in Ligue 1 last campaign, scoring six goals and grabbing ten assists, strong tallies in a side that suffered relegation.
Rangers accelerate plans to secure services of Bright Osayi-Samuel
Rangers have reportedly launched their first offer to sign Fenerbahce attacker Bright Osayi-Samuel this summer.
According to Talha Arslan, the Gers are looking to beat arch-rivals Celtic to the former Queens Park Rangers ace.
Previous reports from Fanatik stated that the Nigerian star would only cost £2.6 million this transfer window for any interested parties.
Rangers interested in signing Belgian Pro League attacker Thomas Henry
Rangers have been mentioned with interest in £7m-rated OH Leuven forward Thomas Henry, but Celtic are allegedly close to winning the multi-club transfer hunt.
This week, Football Insider reported that the Ibrox outfit, Southampton and Watford were all interested in Henry, who netted 21 goals in Belgium last term.
The player has also started the current season well, scoring three times in his first three matches. The Football Insider state that he is interesting Bordeaux, Gent and Venezia.
However, the Scottish Sun claimed that not only were the Celts also keen on the 26-year-old star, they were ‘on the brink’ of winning the hunt for his signature.
Rangers tipped to bring Heerenveen youngster to Ibrox
Former Rangers star Michael Ball thinks that the Glasgow giants are frontrunners to sign Joey Veerman from Heerenveen.
There has been plenty of talk surrounding Veerman and his long-term future with current club Heerenveen this summer, with the Scottish Sun stating on Monday that Rangers have been received a massive boost in their pursuit of the star.
Another interested team, Feyenoord, have purchased Fredrik Aursnes from Molde, which could see the club out of the race for Veerman.
Michael believes that the Gers are favourites to snap up Veerman, telling Football FanCast: “Yeah, there’s been a lot of noise about Joey and I think maybe one or two other clubs are sort of sneaking around, but Rangers seem to be the favourites.”
