Russian club ‘not interested in’ £6,200-a-week Rangers man

A Spartak Moscow senior figure has spoken out amid reports that the club have ‘reignited’ £10 million transfer interest in Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara (Championat).

In recent days, talk has started about the Finish star’s future, with the Scottish Sun quoting reports in Russia and asserting that the Russian Premier League side’s interest in the player has been renewed.

However, it looks as though there is little truth to the latest reports. That is because Spartak Moscow’s press officer, Dmitry Zelenov, has distanced the club the former Arsenal starlet.

“Spartak is not interested in Glen Kamara and, moreover, does not negotiate with him or his representatives,” he is quoted as saying.

Rangers, meantime, are hopeful that Glen will agree to sign a fresh contract soon.

Rangers handed boost in their summer pursuit of Joey Veerman

Heerenveen are allegedly eyeing a “possible successor” to Rangers target Joey Veerman. The Dutchman has been at the heart of a typical transfer saga with the Eredivisie outfit this summer.

He has grown frustrated with his side’s £8.5million asking price with the Scottish Premiership giants and Serie A outfit Hellas Verona understood to be among the interested clubs.

But according to a recent report from voetballprimeur.nl, Heerenveen could now be planning for life after the 22-year-old midfielder.

The Dutch website report that Den Bosch youngster Ringo Meerveld has caught De Superfriezen’s attention.

Rangers at real risk of losing out on signing Zinedine Ferhat

Rangers-linked Algerian star Zinedine Ferhat is subject to two transfer offers – just a day after reports stated the door was still open for Steven Gerrard’s side to move for the Nimes midfielder.

The Gers were first linked to The 28-year-old by Foot Mercato with Glasgow Live stating earlier this week that the door was still open for a summer move.

Now, the French source are claiming that Strasbourg have officially tabled a bid for the Algerian international but face stern competition for the player.

That report says that an unnamed MLS outfit are also in the hunt for him whilst there is talk of interest from Turkey and England.

Rangers aren’t mentioned by the same report and now attention will turn to the move to and any possible fee.
