Rangers in fierce transfer battle to land striker Thomas Henry

Rangers, Watford and Southampton are chasing Leuven forward Thomas Henry, Football Insider reports.

The 26-year-old goal machine has further enhanced his reputation among potential buyers with three goals in the opening three games of the Belgian league season.

Thomas is reportedly on the radar of the Gers as well as Premier League pair Southampton and Watford.

The player had been a target for the EFL Championship outfit Swansea City before Steve Cooper’s departure in July.

Rangers told to snap up young Dutch midfielder as soon as possible

Rangers should act fast and sign Heerenveen star Joey Veerman before his market price skyrockets, according to Michael Ball.

Speaking to The Transfer Tavern, former Gers left-back said: “It’s a huge opportunity for Rangers, financially, to try and get a guy like Joey in.

“If he moves to PSV or Ajax, he would go straight into the Dutch side and that’s when his transfer fee would jump up. Then Rangers would miss the boat.

“It’s an opportunity to get a guy who seems to be hungry to play for Rangers and wants the move to happen.”

Rangers confirm their interest by tabling proposal for Fenerbahce forward

Rangers have submitted a ‘formal bid’ for Fenerbahce’s Bright Osayi-Samuel, according to the latest reports.

Istanbul based sports journalist Talha Arslan has stated the Light Blues have launched a swoop for the former Queen’s Park Rangers star.

Manager Steven Gerrard has been quiet in the transfer market to date – but the English tactician could be set to add to the forward ranks.

Speaking about interest from the Gers, Talha wrote on Twitter: “Glasgow Rangers begin formal bids for Bright Osayi-Samuel.”

Rangers could miss out on signing attacking midfielder Zinedine Ferhat

Rangers face stiff competition from Ligue 1 club Marseille as they look to sign playmaker Zinedine Ferhat this summer.

The 28-year-old is drawing interest from all over the continent after starring for Nimes as the club dropped out of Ligue 1 last season.

He netted six goals and grabbed ten assists but it was not enough to stave off the drop and the club are now resigned to losing him for a cut-price sum.

The Gers have been heavily mentioned in the past and reports from France that he was stalling on a transfer to Strasbourg provided them fresh encouragement.

But it’s now being stated by journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter that Les Olympiens have turned their attentions to the star and are prepared to step up their interest with an offer.
