Borna Barisic could still quit Rangers within hours

Almost as soon as the referee blew the final whistle on the first Old Firm of the campaign, speculation turned towards what stars could be heading out the door before the end of the transfer market.

Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister only managed to fuel those flames when quizzed about Borna Barisic’s emotional departure from the club and if it was a final goodbye, as claimed by Glasgow Live:

“You never know. What I would say, that just might be a wee reminder to himself that that’s his level. That was Borna Barisic back at his very best. And it’s good to see.”

Borna, at 28-years old, is in his best years in terms of form but on a downward trajectory in terms of the transfer value, however, fans have seen this campaign that Calvin Bassey is prepared to play a bigger role and is getting better match by match.

Rangers need to act quickly if they wish to snap up Vitesse skipper

Dinamo Zagreb are allegedly plotting a late move for Rangers-linked Eredivisie centre-back Danilho Doekhi.

At the start of the transfer market, both the Telegraph and Football Insider credited the Gers with interest in the towering Vitesse central defender.

Although he is now in the final year of his deal, the 23-year-old star was given the captain’s armband ahead of the start of the campaign and then a hamstring injury sustained earlier in August appeared to significantly reduce his chances of a transfer.

It is now being reported that Danilho could be on the move on deadline day. Citing Dutch source de Gelderlander, the Daily Record claims that Croatian club Dinamo are plotting a late bid and are interested in getting a deal over the line before the market closes.

Croatian star prepares to leave Rangers on temporary basis

Rangers defender Nikola Katic is reportedly set to depart Ibrox on loan before tonight’s deadline, according to journalist Jordan Campbell.

It is stated that a recall clause should be inserted in the deal should manager Steven Gerrard wish to use that at any stage of the campaign.

Writing on his personal account on Twitter, Jordan shared the update that will surely be heavily supported around Ibrox.

“Understand that Nikola Katic is heading on loan to a Croatian club. Rangers have built up his fitness this summer but he needs to play football after such a long time out. Expect that there will be a recall clause in the deal, as is common when a player is being monitored.”
