Galatasaray failed to reach agreement with Rangers over transfer of Ianis Hagi
Rangers star Ianis Hagi is ‘often on the agenda’ of the Turkish side Galatasaray and the Super Lig giants decided to make an approach for the Romanian ace.
It’s stated Fatih Terim’s side offered €4 million to the Scottish champions, but their approach was knocked back by the Gers.
Dutch midfielder expresses desire to leave Heerenveen amid Rangers interest
Heerenveen’s Joey Veerman has already talked about how he feels his club have priced him out of a summer move thus far this window looking – according to the latest reports – for a figure in the region of €10 million (£8.5 million) for the star.
Speaking to ESPN in his homeland and reported by The Daily Record, Joey hopes that the Eredivisie side reconfigure his valuation so that he can fulfil his dream of moving on:
“I think you are worth as much as the clubs offer. They have offered half of €10m (£4.25m). I don’t think you can say that I have to be sold for €10m.
“There is interest, but for the rest it is up to Heerenveen to respond to it. I have often said that I want to take the next step, so I think that’s clear too.”
Former Chelsea central defender extremely unlikely to sign for Rangers
Rangers have been mentioned with Gary Cahill, but a summer deal for the free agent centre-half is looking less and less likely after last weekend’s reports.
The Sun claimed in July that the Gers were looking to land Cahill, and were ready to offer him £35,000 per week to make the move to Ibrox.
Gary is a free agent having decided to quit the Premier League side Crystal Palace at the end of his deal this summer.
Manager Steven Gerrard played with the experienced defender for England, and a summer reunion could have been appealing to the 35-year-old star as Cahill seeks a new club.
